The PLAVI planter is manufactured entirely in France, and the system is patented. It is fully machined and comes with a 2-year warranty on defective parts.
The planter is made from S 235 steel (robot-welded and laser-cut), with a 304 L stainless steel threaded spindle, 8/8 class zinc-plated steel bolts, ISO 7040 self-locking nut, nylon ring, powder-coated paint and ROHS-compliant zinc plating.
Thanks to PLAVI's innovative planting system, vines with 10-15 cm roots can be planted easily and efficiently by hand. The advantage of planting long-rooted vines is obvious: after 1 year, a planted vine with roots has a level of vegetation equivalent to a 2-year-old vine planted without roots.
The planter can be used to replace missing vines in existing plots or to plant new plots. It is just as effective for planting rootless vines. The planter works with all types of soil, but must be used in previously worked soil. The parallelogram opening system makes it easy to open the tool in the soil, and can be adjusted to suit your needs.
Which version to choose?
If you're hesitating between the two versions of the Plavi, here are the selection criteria:
- the RN25 with 25mm jaw is the "standard" version of the Plavi. It is suitable for all types of soil, especially difficult (stony) soils. Suitable for bare-root planting. This is the version most frequently used in viticulture.
- the RN40 with 40mm jaw is used for planting small clods, but is also suitable for bare-root plants. It is less easy to use in difficult soils. This is the version chosen in particular by truffle growers, market gardeners, for small trees, etc.
