The TETRA + is a portable multi-gas detector configured by E-VITI to ensure the safety of winery personnel exposed to the risk ofcarbon dioxide (CO2) poisoning during alcoholic fermentation, and the risk of hypoxia due to inert gas leaks (responsible for a reduction in oxygen in the atmosphere).
The detector is equipped with an infrared cell for CO2 measurement and an electrochemical cell for oxygen measurement. A third cell for sulfur dioxide (SO2) measurement is optional.
Powerful audible and visual alarms, plus a vibrating alarm, give instant warning of the slightest danger.
- Measurement mode: TETRA + operates in diffusion mode. For remote spot sampling, it can be used with a manual suction system.
- Gas alarm device : low and high alarms for all sensors, 15-minute weighted average STEL alarm and 8-hour weighted average TWA alarm for CO2.
- Audible alarms: 95dBA. Configurable alarm tone for each alarm.
- Visual alarms: Two flashing red/blue LEDs visible from different sides of the detector.
- Vibrating alarms : activate at the same time as audible and visual alarms.
- Display: backlit LCD with simultaneous display of all instantaneous gas values and active alarm messages.
- Display mode : manual selection of different displays, real-time display of measured gas concentration. Display of measurement peaks and sliding averages (STEL/TWA). Symbols displayed in normal operating mode: battery charge level, device operating correctly.
- Data logging / history : recording of a measurement file at an adjustable rate and an event file. Recording capacity: up to 50 hours of operation stored at 1 minute intervals and 1,500 events (stop/start, battery status, alarms). A PC interface is required to retrieve these files from a PC.
- Power supply and operating time: LI-ion rechargeable battery, 16 h minimum excluding alarms. Note: battery autonomy is affected by frequent and prolonged alarm triggering.
- Accessories and documents supplied : charging base with 220V power supply, operating instructions and factory calibration and inspection certificate.
