The significant damage caused by late frosts has a strong impact on the agricultural sector and particularly the wine-growing area. The effects of climate change, which are increasingly present, cause significant temperature variations each year and it then becomes necessary to effectively protect harvests against spring frost. Many solutions already exist to limit this freezing issue but with more or less constraints. Our VITICABLE cable is an efficient, long-lasting and maintenance-free solution. After various tests in a climatic chamber, the cable maintains a minimum of +3°C, at a distance of 50mm, for an outside temperature of -5°C, thus ensuring frost protection of the young buds. Each VITICABLE roll is provided with an IP68 Plug & Play quick connector to be connected to the VITIP3 power octopus, three rolls maximum per octopus. The system can be powered either by a generator or from the electrical grid. Out of freezing period, VITIP3 octopuses can be disconnected so it doesn't disturb the work of the vineyard, only VITICABLE remain installed on the yarn holding. A sealing cap is provided for the protection of the connector after disconnection.
