The aseptic bung is ideal for barrel vinification.
This bung is specially sized to fit barrels from 225 to 1000 liters.
Dimensions 15.7 x Ø 6 cm
Separate the two parts making up the aseptic bung.
Fill to 2/3 with antifreeze and close.
Insert the lower part into the hole in the tank.
Renew the liquid every 8-10 days in summer and every 20 days in winter.
Always renew the liquid before starting a barrel.
With refill :
Pour the contents of the two sachets into the unit, filling it only three-quarters full of water.
Carefully secure the bung to the barrel to prevent air from entering from outside.
The air bubbling in the sulfur solution is charged with sulfur dioxide, which prevents the development of germs: breakage, spikes, turns, grease, flowers, etc...
Caution: preventive effect only.
If the beverage is already undergoing secondary fermentation, the internal overpressure forces the solution out of the appliance through the air inlet.
Under no circumstances is it allowed to spill into the beverage.
