The alcoholmeter measures % alcohol.
Works only for eau de vie (water + alcohol).
Does not measure alcohol for other densities (homemade aperitif, liqueur, etc.).
Directions for use:
- Pour the liquid into the cylinder and shake well.
- Immerse the instrument slowly and let it slide freely.
- The reading is obtained at the point where the scale stops at the liquid level.
- The alcoholmeter is set to operate at 15°C.
- For each degree above, subtract 0.3 from the reading.
- For each degree below, add 0.3.

In accordance with decree no. 79200 of 5/03/79, applicable as of 1/01/84, the test weighers and alcoholometers used in France must be graduated in the legal unit of measurement, Percentage Volumetric.
